In an update from Support Lao Children, the orphanage’s founder Andrew Brown gives an update on how the funds provided through Cobra Group’s CSR programme has helped the charity this year so far. The Cobra Group of Companies’ ongoing support for orphans in Laos has gone towards providing essential medical supplies, shoes for primary school children and supplying milk to help supplement their diet.
Andrew said: “Our medical programme is the most important aspect of our support projects. Your funds for the last year totaled $8,500, of which $7,200 goes to the medical programme, $400 on shoes for primary children and $900 for milk twice per week.”
As the school year ends, many primary school children are returning to their homes. However, support continues to be provided at the orphanage where around 200 children are cared for.
The ongoing support from The Cobra Group has previously helped fund a knee reconstruction operation for a young girl.
